My career started in 1998 at Nokia Networks as a technical engineer. In this role I gained a lot of knowledge on Mobile- and broadband network management solutions. During my career I became a familiar with several unix/linux flavors. It was a little step to become LPIC-2 certified in the year 2014. During several years now I held my software development company and got specialized to build bridges between customer needs and solutions. I made a variety of software to tackle different issues for several large companies.
But in fact my career started much earlier, way back to my early years of age. During my time in elementary school I wrote my first QuickBasic program on my father's first 8088 personal computer. From that moment on I was attracted to new technology and it never left hold of me again. Therefor my motto is: 'Every technical problem has a solution'. My passion is to find the most effective solution. One way to achieve that is via the Agile way of working. Why? Because it brings the team together and connects technology to processes. For quite some time we successfully worked with SCRUM and KANBAN.
My specialties involves Unix / Linux / Debian / Solaris / Oracle DBA / PHP / OSS System Administration Nokia / Ericsson / Suze linux certified / LPIC 1/2 certified.

“Manoah is a very precise systems administrator. He is very organized, and plans far ahead, which is rare in sysadmins. If Manoah says something will be ready at a certain time, it will be ready.”
Rogier Mulhuijzen, Sales Engineer“Manoah is a highly skilled software specialist who can work very independently and is able to meet or even exceed expectations. He is at his very best if creative solutions should be found for challenging problems, f.i. in building new tools to meet hard functional requirements. Further, he is a decent and pleasant person to work with, and under pressure he always keeps calm and knows where to focus at. In brief, Manoah is your man to rely on if you have to fulfil a challenging job!”
Robert Peeters, Mobile Network Developer“Manoah was one of the senior UNIX engineers managing the Casema e-mail and web hosting platform. Working in the same department I found Manoah to be skilled, knowledgeable and well respected by his colleagues. Almost too modest about his own skills in an environment with a few very opinionated people he was steadfast and got the job done.”
Herman Bruijn, Linux Infrastructure Architect“Manoah is an excellent Unix- and Technical applications engineer. Het has thorough knowledge of the Nokia and Ericsson OSS applications, has advanced shell- and perl scripting skills and is ready to share his knowledge with others. Besides his skills Manoah is a pleasure to work with and has a cool sense of humour.”
Yat-Sen Ng, Technical Applications AdministratorThis is my life
In my role as an architect I make high-level design choices and dictates technical standards including software coding standards, tooling and platforms. I'm involved in projects with suppliers for high-risk upgrades of new platform installations. In this same role I work closely with Ethical Hackers in order to secure the platforms we use, like OSSRC and ENIQ
During these years I have designed several customized high-end web applications from scratch in order to extract and present data needed for customers like KPN and Ericsson. But I also developed tooling for KPN in order to comply with the justice department and the dutch law.
In order to succesfully integrate linux based systems you will have to have the right knowledge to support this role. I desgined and build a new platform to integrate and provision Fiber-to-the-Home network equipment from end-to-end. In another role I was the senior systems administrator for a complete management platform that manages the whole nationwide mobile network.
In this role I was responsable for several online banking platforms arround the world. As these are high risk and service critical platforms, mistakes were not allowed. I had to steer a development team and make sure all releases were thoroughly tested before setting them online.
This education involes all that is related to information processing and telecommunication techniques, from the design till the production, but also to create a testplan to test the product as close as you can to 100%. I finished this study succesfully in 3 years instead of 4 years, including a study of Java programming in parallel.
I finished this study in 3 years instead of 4 years, and graduated in subjects of mathematics, physics and telecommunication.
From scratch I designed a hardwareboard and used the company's own compiler and assembler toolkit to display a the logo of a certain company with a microporcessed controlled laser. This system was used afterwards for promotion purposes on fairs and exhibitions.

LPIC-1 is the first certification in LPI’s multi-level Linux professional certification program. The LPIC-1 is designed to reflect current research and validate a candidate's proficiency in real world system administration. The objectives are tied to real-world job skills, which we determine through job task analysis surveying during exam development.
LPIC-2 is the second certification in LPI’s multi-level professional certification program. The LPIC-2 will validate the candidate's ability to administer small to medium–sized mixed networks. The candidate must have an active LPIC-1 certification to receive LPIC-2 certification, but the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams may be taken in any order..
“Manoah is een hartelijk en prettig persoon om mee te werken. Zeer sterke technische kennis van Unix/Linux systemen. Hij kan goed werken in dynamische omgevingen en goed inspelen op veranderingen.”
Milan Muchall, Architect“Manoah is both a specialist who has high skills in system administration both Unix and Windows and especially automation of these tasks. In the years he developped also java programming skills.”
Bart Hendriks, Project Manager“Manoah is a very precise systems administrator. He is very organized, and plans far ahead, which is rare in sysadmins. If Manoah says something will be ready at a certain time, it will be ready.”
